Standard UK delivery
Bikes are delivered via Amtrak courier and normally take 5-7 days on in-stock items (all bikes are assembled and tested by our mechanics prior to dispatch). During peak periods delivery may take up to 14 days. A signature is required upon delivery.
Bulky items are delivered via courier or royal mail signed for delivery and normally take 2-3 days on in-stock items.
Clothing & accessories are delivered via royal mail signed for delivery and normally take 2-3 days on in-stock items
Priority UK delivery
Bikes are prioritised through our assembly workshop and normally takes 3-5 days on in-stock items. During peak periods there may be a small delay. Bikes are delivered via Amtrak courier.
Bulky items and clothing & accessories are delivered via Amtrak courier. This is normally a next day service, delivered between 9am and 6pm, on in-stock items ordered by noon. Orders placed after noon on Friday will not be processed until Monday.

Saturday UK delivery
Delivered by Amtrak courier, if you place your bike order by noon on Wednesday, or your bulky item or clothing & accessory order by noon on Friday we can ship to you on Saturday between 8am and 1pm.

Ship2Store
Ship2Store gives you the option of having your order sent to your local Evans Cycles store at no extra charge, for collection at your convenience! Delivery on in stock items takes around 5 working days (often sooner).
How do I use Ship2Store?
To use the service, simply select the store you wish for your order to be sent to from the delivery options page during the checkout process.
How much does it cost?
Ship2Store is a FREE service for all orders
How long does Ship2Store take?
Once we have processed your order, on an in-stock item delivery to your local store should be no longer than 5 working days, usually a lot quicker!
When you complete your order, you will be prompted to print out the confirmation page. This is required, along with suitable ID such as a driving license, passport, or debit/credit card, when you collect your order.
How will I know my order is ready for collection?
When the store receives your order you will be called to let you know your order is ready for collection.
If you have purchased a bike for Ship2Store delivery the store will contact you to arrange a collection time. Bikes arrive at the store in a partly assembled state and are fully assembled by our in-store mechanics prior to collection
Ship2Store only products
Certain products are only available for delivery via Ship2Store and can not be delivered via our couriers. This currently includes Trek bikes, Lemond bikes, Gary Fisher bikes, some Pashley bikes and all tandem bikes.
Finance orders
Orders paid for using our online finance process must be delivered to the finance billing address and can not be delivered via Ship2Store.

Bike packaging
All bikes ordered for delivery to the Channel Islands and Isle of Man are assembled and inspected by our mechanics prior to repacking for dispatch. Due to size restrictions of our courier services we repackage the bike in the original factory box, rather than the custom oversized bike box we use for our mainland UK deliveries.
VAT & GST
Channel Island deliveries are exempt from VAT. However all consignments delivered to Jersey with a value exceeding £400 (including delivery costs), will be subject to a ‘Goods and Service Tax’ (GST) of 3% of the value of the consignment. The responsibility for the payment of this tax lies with the customer (receiver of the goods) and not Evans Cycles. If the tax is not paid, our couriers will be unable to deliver the consignment.
Returns
If you wish to return an item that is unsuitable or not required you will be liable for the return delivery. If you wish to then try a different size or style, delivery will be charged again to post the item back to you.

Bike packaging
All bikes ordered for international delivery are assembled and inspected by our mechanics prior to repacking for dispatch. Due to size restrictions of international courier services we repackage the bike in the original factory box, rather than the custom oversized bike box we use for our UK deliveries.
VAT & duty
VAT is automatically removed for orders delivered to the Channel Islands and outside of the European Community. VAT cannot be removed for deliveries within the European Community.
Some countries may charge you import tax for certain items. If you have any queries regarding this then please contact your local tax office who should be able to assist you further. Unfortunately Evans Cycles cannot advise on import tax and duty enquiries.
Returns

Bicycle assembly and delivery
At Evans Cycles we take pride in giving you the best possible bike purchasing experience, whether that be in our store, over the phone or online.
One area that sets us apart from our competitors is the effort we go to in order to ensure your bike reaches you in a safe and secure condition with only minor assembly before you can hit the road or the trail.
How our bikes are packaged & assembled
When your bike arrives at Evans Cycles it is still along way from being ready to ride. The bikes arrive flat packed for ease of transport from the factory.
It can sometimes be hard to see where the packaging ends and the bike begins!
BEWARE! Many online retailers will simply ship the bike to you in this flat packed state requiring you to fully assemble the bike at home. This is time consuming and challenging, especially if you don’t have the specialist tools and skills to do the job.
Comprehensive assembly is a STANDARD SERVICE on all bikes purchased at Evans Cycles.
For your convenience, comfort and safety ALL bikes purchased via our mail order service or through the Evans Cycles website are fully assembled and tested by one of our Cytech qualified mechanics prior to being dispatched.
During the assembly process the forks, wheels, seat-post and components are fitted. Gears and brakes are adjusted (disc brakes bled if necessary), wheels are trued, tyres pumped up and all nuts and bolts tightened.
If you have purchased any accessories, they will be fitted to the bike FREE of charge at this point (just notify us at the time of ordering).
In order to safely package and ship the bike to you we then turn the handlebars 90 degrees and remove the pedals from the bike.
Delivery
The bike is then placed in one of our custom oversize bike boxes ready for collection by our courier.
When the bike is delivered all you need to do is to turn the handlebars around and attach the pedals. Full instructions, a multi-tool and 15mm pedal spanner are included free of charge. Follow the simple instructions carefully and your bike will be ready to ride within minutes of landing on your doorstep.

Children’s bikes
Because the safety of your young child is of paramount importance, all children’s bikes fitted with stabilisers are shipped to you fully assembled with no home assembly required at all!
These bikes are assembled by the same Cytech qualified mechanics that assemble our adult bikes.
Children’s bikes are packaged in our custom over-sized kids bike boxes for safe and secure delivery direct to your door.
BMX stunt pegs
In order to accommodate BMX bikes into our delivery boxes, any BMX bikes fitted with stunt pegs will have the pegs removed and packaged separately. Customers will be required to fit these upon receipt of their bike, the tools you will require are a Ratchet with an extension bar and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm socket (please note tools are not supplied).
International bike orders
Due to size restrictions on international shipping, international bike orders will be shipped in a partly assembled state. Bikes are still built and tested prior to being packaged ready for shipment.
