In 1996 two riders named Stephan Prantl and Lars Dorsch started printing t-shirts under the name WeThePeople. Harry Schmid and Klaus Dyba at the time were two very young BMX riders both with creative minds that ultimately lead them to join the group and together they started to develop a real company. It wasnt long before Harry and Klaus started designing WeThePeople BMX bikes and guaranteeing a lifetime dedicated to BMX. By 2000 they had a string of BMX parts, their first range of complete bikes, a basic homepage and Klaus had worked hard on designing catalogues, stickers and various advertisements throughout magazines. In 2002, the company became official and each member helped to forge and develop the brand that we now know as WeThePeople. Today they still operate from Cologne, Germany and still design WeThePeople bikes and parts with the same passion and fire that drove the company to where it is now. Every part of what they do reflects their history, their experience in BMX and their dedication to honest and true bicycle craftsmanship.
