Derailleur Hangers
Switching your derailleur hanger – the little piece of metal by the rear dropout which holds the rear mech – can be essential if you have damaged it or bent it in a crash. They are actually designed to bend or break off if needs be, taking the strain and sacrificing themselves instead of the main body of the frame.
