GoPro Hero3+ Unveiled

The hugely popular GoPro Hero has evolved and we’re excited to tell you all about the new range of Hero3+ cameras which were unveiled today.

GoPro cameras have been adopted into many sports so that we can now capture footage of everything we do – and cycling is no exception.

Mountable cameras enable us to capture our best moments

From trails to the roads, we all love to watch it back and show our friends, and the new Hero3+ is designed to make the process easier.

The Black and Silver Editions have had a makeover. The new models are 15-20 per cent thinner than previous versions, and battery life has been lengthened by about 30 per cent. GoPro have outlined improvements including a sharper lens which catches better quality images, and faster Wi-Fi which means you can view your footage quicker.

Go Pro have worked really hard to make the camera easier to use straight out of the box. The Hero3+ Black Edition, which we’ll be selling for £359.99, comes with ‘SuperView’ – a new mode that automatically converts video to a wider ratio, allowing you to capture more of your surroundings without manually fiddling with settings.

Perfect for changing conditions, the new ‘low-light mode’ alters recording depending upon lighting conditions – so you don’t have to do it manually mid ride.

The Silver Edition will be sold at £279.99. GoPro tells us that is now twice as powerful and captures even better quality footage than it’s predecessor. High frame rate and high resolution make for perfect quality slow motion playback, and the light sensor has been upgraded, making for enhanced low light performance.

On both Silver and Black Editions, a sharper lens means that images are even clearer than on previous models. In addition, the audio has been improved, and Wi-Fi is much faster when you view a video on your smartphone or tablet.

The new range was announced this morning, and we’ll be selling the GoPro Hero3+ Black Edition and Silver Edition in the next couple of days, available here.

We’ll also be putting the cameras to the test – so keep your eyes peeled for our product videos, which will be shared on the Evans Cycles Facebook and Twitter pages in the coming days.
