The Cycling Pro Tour kicks of in the sunshine of Australia with the Tour Down Under, the first event in what is looking to be an incredible season of racing. Starting this weekend (January 17th – 24th) the Tour Down Under is the first chance for the teams to showcase new riders, and equipment. A gruelling 794kms over 6 stages await the teams who will battle it out for the coveted Ochre leader’s jersey. Based in South Australia, the race passes through some amazing scenery culminating in an exciting final stage street circuit in Adelaide.
All of the teams are stepping out on their new 2010 racing bikes and equipment. The major cycle companies spend millions of pounds each year making their bikes the ultimate in lightweight, technically advanced, visually stunning race machines. Evans Cycles are excited to stock these high end bikes and bring this technology to our customers to emulate their favourite riders and teams.
