BMC (Bicycle Manufacturing Company) first created their own bikes in 1994 with the aim of designing ‘innovative and technologically advanced’ bikes. Their bikes certainly have an unmistakeable style, with award winning design.

Initially renowned in Switzerland, BMC only started trading outside of their home country in 2003. Since then, growth has allowed the world to recognise these unique bikes.

BMC's 'Skeleton Concept' design creates a unique frame shape. The innovative junction of the seat tube cluster ideally distributes forces generated by the rider. Less visible, but at the core of each BMC, is the substantial bottom bracket area, through which all forces are adeptly distributed along the stays and downtube.

Based on 'Style, Passion and Precision', BMC don't cut corners. This philosophy, coupled with precision technology and innovative design, have created a brand new top of the range, full carbon road frame for 2010, weighing in at just 860g (55cm). The '10 SLR01 road frame, alongside some of their carbon full suspension mountain bikes, were some of the highlights of this year's EuroBike trade show.

In 2001, BMC sponsored the Phonak Team and Astana Cycling Team.  However, from 2010, BMC will have their very own racing team and have already landed big name riders such as George Hincapie (current US Professional Road Champion) and Alessandro Ballan (former World Professional Road Champion), testament to their racing pedigree.

BMC Road Racer - £1599.99 The use of Carbon and high quality Aluminium means the completely redeveloped SL01 boasts a material combination which provides optimal comfort and extreme rigidity. The BMC Cross Machine - £1099.99 A bike built around a frame that uses a logical combination of the well-established road and innovative mountain bike technology. The BMC Road Racer SLW - £1299.99 BMC also create a range of bikes with women’s specific geometry. Like the standard Road Racer frame, with a carbon – aluminium construction, the Road Racer SLW is cut for the female anatomy and also offers shorter crank lengths and narrower handlebars.
