Three years ago, when Campagnolo's engineers began to design the new Chorus, Record and Super Record groupsets, they asked themselves if it would be possible to offer cyclists something more. An extra option without sacrificing weight, performance and safety. An extra sprocket in the set in order to get perfect pedalling rhythm every time, or an extra sprocket at the end when the ascent turns out to be tougher than you thought and that sprocket means salvation, or a completely new ideal combination for the compact, with a smaller sprocket to streak ahead downhill and a larger one for the toughest climbs.
