Evans Cycles has been a London bike shop since 1921, and over this time we’ve seen the city change a lot. We still believe that cycle commuting is the best way to get around, so to help more cyclists to feel confident on the roads, we’ve teamed up with Cycle Training UK who will be running FREE seminars in our stores designed to help beginner cyclists feel more confident riding in town.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. Zilch. Zero. It's Free!
CTUK seminars are discussion based sessions where riders, or people considering taking up cycling, can discuss their experiences, and either learn or have a recap on the best ways to keep safe on the roads.
The hour long session will be led by a CTUK coach. During the hour, we’ll discuss the basic skills of riding, how to ensure your bike is safe to ride, and then look at where you should position yourself on the road when approaching junctions, at traffic lights, and when riding past parked cars. There will be plenty of time to discuss any concerns or issues you have, and we’ll be sure to keep the number of participants to a maximum of 30, so everybody gets time to chat.
Where are they?
We’re offering 3 sessions in February at the following stores:
To ensure everybody has a fantastic experience, we only have space for 30 people at each event, so these will be first come, first served – we’ll send you an email to tell you if you’ve got a place. If we find the demand is very high, we’ll look to host more events in the future.
