Daylight hours might be getting shorter, but that doesn’t mean your rides need to be limited: a good set of bike lights will keep you out for longer.
It’s worth considering what type of light you need, depending upon the type of riding you’re doing and your budget. A simple front and rear light set is what you need to make sure you are seen on the roads. However – if you want to ride on unlit roads or illuminate your favourite trails, you’ll need something much brighter. Also consider a high output rear light on the road – cars approach you from behind, so make sure you are seen. If you want to avoid replacing batteries, then rechargeable USB lights are for you. For the very latest innovation in alerting other road users to your presence, take a look at the Blaze Laserlight which projects a laser image of a bicycle onto the road in front of you.
