Who are Bikeworks?
Bikeworks are a social enterprise using bicycles and cycling as a tool to tackle social and environmental challenges at a community level. They have created a number of innovative community cycling initiatives across the capital and their success has been recognised with several awards. 100% of profits raised by projects are reinvested back into community cycling activities.
How much will I get for my bike?
We will give you £30 off for your bike if the new one is priced between £200-400, £50 off if the new one is £400-600, £80 off if it’s £600-£1000, and £100 off a bike over £1000.
What condition does my trade in bike need to be in?
We will accept any bike, in any condition – whether it’s rideable or not. You can even carry it in if you’re missing those all important wheels.
How long is this offer on for?
The offer will finish on the 2nd June
Can I trade my bike in online?
If you buy online and use our Store Collect delivery option you can trade in your old bike when you collect your new one, You’ll need to pay the full price online and we’ll refund the trade in discount to you in-store. If you are paying by finance or with a Ride2Work or Cyclescheme certificate, and wish to take advantage of the trade-in refund you must do so in-store. We cannot accept these methods of payment online or by phone for trade-in refunds.

If I change my mind, can I have my old bike back?
Unfortunately we are unable to return any of the traded in bikes even in the event of a refund. Once donated, bikes are the property of Evans Cycles, and will be reused by our community partner Bikeworks. However, our standard returns policy still applies to all new bikes. Can I donate more than one bike to Bikeworks?
You will only receive the money off discount for one bike but if you wish to donate additional bikes for no benefit then they will be reused by Bikeworks within their community projects.
Do I need to trade in the same type of bike that I buy?
No, you can trade in any bike whether it’s a kids or bmx, to town bikes, road and mountain bikes.
Can I trade in kids bikes?
Yes, you can trade in kids bikes so if they’ve grown out of their bike, bring it in and trade for a new one.
Can I part exchange my bike for other products?
Bikes can only be traded-in when buying a new bike but you can of course purchase any clothing and accessories alongside your new bike.
If I don’t want a bike at this time can I have a gift voucher?
We are not able to issue gift vouchers in conjunction with traded bikes. Your purchase must be made or order placed when trading in your old bike.
Can I just donate my bike without a purchase?
Yes – if you have an old bike which you no longer want you can donate it at any of our stores and it will be reused by Bikeworks within their community projects.
Can I find out where and how my old bike will be re-used?
Your bike will be examined and then refurbished to a high quality by trained mechanics at Bikeworks. These bikes are then donated to various community initiatives or sold to raise funds for social projects. Bikes that don’t make the cut and are deemed unsafe or unusable are stripped for their parts and recycled accordingly.
