Merckx 525 is about the man revered as cycling’s living deity. Known as “the Cannibal” for his insatiable hunger to win, Merckx gobbled up a record 525 race wins during his fearsome 14-year professional career. From Grand Tours that demand superb endurance to bone-crushing one-day classics that only the toughest men can win, Merckx won them all. His legacy is untouchable in modern cycling, making Merckx the undisputed best cyclist ever. With authoritative text and keepsake craftsmanship, Merckx 525 digs deep to reveal the man behind the legend, cycling’s incomparable Eddy Merckx. Presenting a rich trove of newly discovered photographs that will dazzle fans and collectors, Merckx 525 embraces this awe-inspiring athlete’s career from promising youth in Belgium, to fabulous darling of Europe, to hardened veteran of the bike-racing wars. Merckx 525 is a premium authorised book, a lavishly produced coffee table hardback with full-colour photographs throughout.

MERCKX 525 is a long journey through my career of 525 race victories. In addition to its authoritative text, this beautiful work contains a unique collection of exclusive photographs, including some that even I had not seen before. It is the only work authorised by me on the occasion of my 65th birthday, and the first truly complete record of my accomplishments.’ – Eddy Merckx.
