I needed a bike that could take me on my 25 mile a day commute, giving me a consistent and a secure ride, but still be an exciting one.

I've had the CAAD 8 for 6 weeks now and am loving it, having owned the CAAD 9 for a short while, I was concerned it would not live up to it's replacement.

But I have been more than pleasantly surprised, the pedal to power ratio is noticeably impressive and the shift in gearing is smooth.

The performance of this entry level road bike really represents great value for money.

My first ever road bike and it surpasses all expectations. Did a fair bit of research and after a couple of test rides, decided on this because a) i've always wanted a cannondale b) wanted tiagra shifters c) quite impressed by staff in brighton evans d) cheaper to get a 2010 bike than an equivalent 2011.

in comparison to mtbs i've ridden, this is so fast and precise.For first time ever, I am enjoying riding up hills (useful in Sussex). This bike responds so quickly it is a joy, and the bike computer is often surprising at how fast it goes for so little effort.

minor grumbles are that the gears are quite high, compared to mtbs, so some hills are a struggle and saddle hurts my bum, but I just have to get fitter and tougher.

I have wanted a Cannondale for most of my adult life. When this was delivered I was not dissapointed. The bike is really light, well built and the shimano tiagra gear set is really smooth.
I completed the Prostate Cancer Tour ride on this bike, and I was really glad I had purchased it. I would not have believed a bike can improve your cycling happyness, but this one really has.

Brought this bike about 4 weeks ago and due to the weather being bad i haven't had much time on it but the time i have have had in the seat has been really good.
A member of the evans staff custom fitted me to my bike and done all my seat and handle bar setting which has made a real difference in my cycling. So far i have covered about 100 miles on the bike and from the 1st mile to the 100th mile the bike has been comfortable and effortless to ride.
Only downside to the bike is that i have been told that the reach on the C4 handlebars is a bit to long for me and because of this i have purchased a shorter reach set of handlebars.
Gears are responive and quick changing for tigra's and the brakes work really well
All in all a great buy for someone who likes road cycling
