Disappointingly not bright enough for unlit paths

No, I do not recommend this product.

Pros: Good quality, Lightweight, intergral rechargable battery

Cons: not bright enuogh to see by

I bought this light on the recommendation of Evans for my 7 mile commute in Bristol. It is a nice unit and really handy having the rechargable battery as part of the light unit but it's not bright enough to ride at any speed on dimly lit paths. If want to make sure you can be seen but do not need it to see this is a great light but if you need a light to see by you could better spend less money on a much brighter light elsewhere on the internet. I'm getting my next light from dealextreme on advice of other commuters taking the same route as me - cheaper and brighter.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Pros: Good value, Lightweight

Simple, lightweight, easy to mount and easy to use, this is a pretty good light. The flexibility of flashing, low and high power is good and the flashing mode is very effective at showing others you are there. I was slightly disappointed that the high power wasn't brighter but it is adequate, just, for cycling fast on dark country lanes.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Pros: Good value, Lightweight

I was a bit concerned that this little light might turn out to be a disappointment since it's so far below the pricepoint of other rechargeables, but I've been pleasantly surprised. On full power it gives a good view of the road ahead on unlit streets - and in fact in many circumstances the lower power setting is adequate (prolonging the time between recharges). The flashing setting offers even longer between charges and seems to get noticed by drivers better, but unless I'm in a well lit area I personally find the flashing lighting a little activating to my nervous system and I need to turn it onto one of the constant settings.

The unit is surprisingly light in weight and is easily removed from the mount so that you can put it in a bag and take away with you while the bike is locked. You can get extra mounts if you have more than one bike.

My only reason for the downgrade from 5 stars is that the rubber stopper over the recharge socket sometimes seems a bit insecure, and occasionally I find the double push required on the power button to enter or exit flashing mode a bit tiresome, especially if cycling along at the time.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Pros: Good value, Good quality, Lightweight, Looks great

Cons: fiddely switch

brought this with in miind of the darker nights am really pleased. I have experienced next to no vibration of the unit whilst in use, in all fairness though the switches for the high low & and flash modes are a little fiddely
