Very Impressive Bit of Kit

Pros: Good value, Good quality

This is my second cateye bike computer and I remain as impressed as every. It is quite easy to set up and changing between modes while on the road couldn't be easier.

Good peice of kit

What a good peice of kit for the price as it has all the functionality that I needed. The only negative is that I bought this for the MTB and with all the movement it can be hard to see the information on the screen. Mind you I have not found a bigger option. Recommended highly

You can't come in without a tie

Thought for ages about whether to splash out on a wireless unit, but decided in the end to go for a wired one as I wanted to avoid batteries. Unlike some, I found this unit relatively awkward to fit and it does look a bit ugly in the sensor area due to the cable tie-fest involved (2 for each sensor, plus at least 2 more close by to keep cables clear of wheels).

Once the optimal position is obtained for the sensors and batteries, unit works well, but I had to snip off calbe ties and repoistion the unit to get to that point. Hence, I suggest buying yourself a pack of cable ties (you can get 100 for about £2 on t'web) just in case.

The spacing of the speed and cadence sensor will never be more that a inches yet there seemed to be quite a length of wire between the 2 sensors. I had to wrap this around the rear stay and use cable ties to secure it as best I could (adding to the ugliness at the back). In contrast, there was only just about enough wire to reach the front to mount the computer, so that took a bit of fiddling too.

Unit is easy to set up and easy to use. Very clear. Hence, 5 stars goes to unit itself. Docked 2 stars due to messy mounting. If you value aesthetics, go for a wireless unit and shell out for some batteries.

This is my second cyclocomp iam used to, very good usage of the display area. clear visible large numbers, installation was easy, took about 35 mins. Compact and good for daily use. Will Strongly recommend.Appreciate the quick shipping and customer service from Evans.
