Stylish, clean, functional and fun! The Charge Cooker Mid 2012 29er Mountain Bike features Tange Infinity chromoly tubing, Suntour XCR_LO forks and Shimano Alivio gearing.

Charge Bikes specialise in uncomplicated yet functional bicycles and frames with a distinct and contemporary styling. Their frames are designed using carefully selected tube sets which are specifically chosen to fit requirements. Charge’s main love is for Steel and Titanium tubes from renowned tubing makers Tange, they have a long pedigree in producing materials of the highest quality and as a result Tange tubing makes up the mainstay of the range which covers everything from cutting edge titanium mountain and road frames to simple fixed gear bikes. Charge intend to be a breath of fresh air in a world of generic hydroformed aluminium, carbon and expensive, complicated dual suspension. Charge products are designed to inspire you to get out there and ride, no matter what type of cycling you’re into.

Wonderful to ride, great to look at! I have a Charge Mixer already so am sold on the Charge design philosophy. My big surprise with this bike was the speed on the flat. I was expecting the usual drag from thick MTB tyres but click this into top gear with the wind at your back and she flies. Great riding position and so easy up the hills. Despite the steel frame surprisingly light. Can't think of any negatives. February 15, 2013

A good strong intermediate bike The bike was ordered across the net on a recommendation. Communication was good and it arrived as expected. Out of the box to in use was an easy 15 minutes and the set up worrked immediately. February 3, 2013

Fantastic all round Upgrading from a standard 26 to a 29er does take a little getting used to, but overall this is a great all round bike. The first thing you notice is the size - it's huge especially with the bigger wheels, but surprisingly it's very very light. It's great both for the daily commute and gets even better off road, especially when the trail gets muddy, rolls really well and it just ploughs through everything. Overall very impressed and I would highly recommend it, bonus is it looks fantastic too. October 26, 2012
