The Cycleops Magneto Trainer is for when riding outside isn't an option. As the world's first magnetic trainer with progressive resistance, the Magneto increases resistance as you increase pedal speed, so your effort and speed follow each other on a natural curve. There are no manual adjustments needed, simply shift gears as you would when riding outside. With a quick load cam lever, you simply adjust the resistance unit once and then lock it into place each time you put your bike on the trainer. This way there are no guessing games in setting resistance from ride to ride. Combine this with a smooth, quiet ride, locking bolt ring and heavy-duty steel construction, and you're ready to sprint, spin and climb with confidence.

Good to maintain general fitness levels

Pros: Good value, Good quality

Having suffered a serious shoulder injury playing rugby and been in a sling for 6 weeks, this item enabled me to keep my general fitness levels up and burn calories at home. Used it both outside and in. Relatively easy to assemble although having the use of only one arm made it slightly more tricky and easy to get bike in and out of on a daily basis.

Pros: Good value, Good quality

I bought this to make sure I still ride my bike even when it is snowing/raining/howling outside and I love it. It was really simple to put together and although I do find it a little tricky to attach my bike each time I am getting better! There is some noise but I do not think that is a big problem - I put the bike on a yoga mat and that absorbs some noise. Really pleased with the results; I do about an hour at a time when I've worked too late to go out after work or when the weather is too miserable to venture outside. Good purchase for winter months.

Great when it is wet or icey

Pros: Good quality

This product has a solid high quality feel as it comes out of the box...a shame the instructions for assembly are not of the same standard. Non the less it all fits together in a few minutes, to produce a really stable platform for your cycle. The variable resistance really work, and used with a heart rate monitor, you can get a great work out at an intensity of your choice.

Great 'no frills' turbo trainer

A great turbo trainer for those who want a really reliable piece of kit for some really tough training sessions. The base/frame is very solid with a really quick clamp mechanism to hold the bike.

the resistance is really smooth and doesn't feel at all 'punchy' as with some other trainers. huge range of resistance making it suitable for light recovery sessions through to massive power sessions.
