That's why Dahon designed the Dahon Mu Uno 2009 Folding Bike, a single-speed with no brakes to fuss with, no cables to adjust, and a backpedal brake that whispers to you to try a power slide. The inspiration? A visit to a dealer in the Netherlands who wished aloud, "Give us a bike that is durable enough to ride every day, no matter the weather, with a single gear suitable for fast riding (because the Netherlands is flat), and light enough to easily carry up and down the stairs in train stations easily." Wish granted.

Ordered sale item. Took forever with me having to phone several times. Finally offered me this years model at sale price. Pleased that you offered sale price but it should not have taken so long.

this is a brilliant city bike

This bike is a gem. Very light. Very easy to fold and unfold. Weird looking in a splendid way. I live in a third floor flat, and it's no problem taking it up the stairs. I've taken it on the Tube with no bother. It travels well. I've had 5 bikes stolen in the last 3 years. I think this one is going to last. Hope so.

I've been riding on one of these for 4 months through central London after finally realising that the tube journey was never going to get any better. Folded, it fits perfectly in the train luggage rack or under your desk at work,,unfolded it looks much better than the geeky bromptons (it's a matt black BMX) and feels solid and gives a nice smooth ride. Without gears you won't keep up with most of the other cyclists on the road but if you're only going a few miles it is perfect.

Simple Speed Life

My first impression of the Mu Uno was the compact way it rides. The frame is excellent. The gear ratio is very good for a daily basis commuter with an average fitness (on the heavy side). The bike is very light and the small wheels help a lot to tackle the traffic. I found the front brake very useful, although the coaster brake may not be for everyone. Overall, a very nice little bike.
