Use the Exposure Remote Switch for easier switching in the dark, especially when wearing winter gloves, taking advantage of the larger button on the Remote Switch. Just as cars dip their headlights for oncoming traffic and cyclists, you can too. On the road or on the bike path Exposure lights are so bright in MaXx mode that it is recommended to "dip" down to Low light mode when someone is coming towards you. With the Remote Switch, this can be easily and quickly done with two clicks of the button.

Bit expensive, but useful addition to a Maxx D

I bought this for use with the Maxx D when on roads, in between the trails I ride to be considerate to car drivers. It is better than using the switch on the back of the light, and seems very durable. You will need to bin the naff velcro strap which doesn't keep the switch firmly mounted on the bars, and swap it for some zip ties to really secure it. The reason why is does this is simple; the rear of the switch is flat, and handlebars are round! Its gonna wobble/move when you put pressure on it.

Anyway, if you can get over a rather steep price for a useful addition to a bar mounted Maxx D or Toro, it does the job well, even when wearing thick winter gloves.

needs some modification

Cons: Heavy, Uncomfortable, poor fixing

good idea but the mechanism of attacing to the handlebar needs changing - the button needs to be solidly held so that it doesnt move. I use a tie pulled tight but it could be better. Also expensive
