Fibre Flare is a portable self contained safety device having a flexible solid core side emitting fibre optic element interposed between two electronic housing ends; inside each of the housing ends is a single high intensity LED. When the LED’s illuminate they emit a high intensity uni-directional light beam that is directed into each end of the fibre optic core; the fibre optic then distributes the LED light input and illuminates along its entire length to emit a high intensity Omni-directional light output visible from almost any direction at distances over 300 meters (constant or strobe).

love it I love this. I've attached it to the back of my helmet, this way I'm easily seen from the back, and won't forget to take it off the bike and have it stolen. November 18, 2012

Excellent Visibility Excellent allround visibility, you really cannot be missed, drivers have given me a wide berth when using them. can be fitted to virtually anywhere on a bike or helmet and you can be seen from a vast distance. Be warned though the image shows 2 Flares but you only get one. November 29, 2011

Good but flawed This light is a really good idea, very bright, very different. Attachment was easy, I just hung it it from a loop on my bag. However it is a little bit flimsy, the instructions say that you should not bend it more than 45 degrees, which can happen easily enough if it is in your bag, and after less than a year the switch on mine failed. I will wait for the next model to come out before I buy another, hopefully will be more rugged. Bit disappointing but it was cool when it worked. November 28, 2011

Be seen This is a really good. I use in conjunction with other lights but it gives off a pretty big and quite different light. Easy to fit. Can have normal or flashing. You do only get 1 in a pack, even though 2 are pictured. Only potential drawback is that it already looks like it may be dimming a bit (probably less than 6 hours riding) but then its a fairly big light. I'd rather be seen!
