Lightweight, versatile winter overtrousers. Pricey

The bottom line is that the paclite shell is very lightweight, but not as breathable as some competitors. These are excellent as overtrousers to carry from late autumn through to early spring and they have become part of my standard commuting baggage....lightweight, good cut round the ankles which keeps water out even in the worst weather, and not too tight or baggy. However, when temperatures are moderate I much prefer to get soaked by the rain rather than by my own sweat. So, good for what they are, but with limitations.
