Yes, I recommend this product.

Pros: Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight

Cons: Expensive

I only ever need waterproof trousers about five times a year through a full years cycling but when it pours in the winter these trousers are a lifesaver - especially if you have to get on a train afterwards.

I managed for five years with just normal shower proof trousers and if you buy rainlegs for 22 quid it should be enough for the vast majority of your days on the bike.

But I got these as the showers seem to be getting more and more heavy these days. These trousers are totally waterproof. Really comfortable. I wear them on their own when I know there will be heavy rain. Otherwise they're light and packable in my pannier. I have 34 inch inside leg and these are about 1/2 an inch too short but I am able to live with that.

It's worth paying the extra for them because non-Goretex stuff tends to lose its waterproofing within two years of daily use. My Goretex jacket is still good after four years. Good stuff is expensive to buy up front but lasts much longer and becomes cheaper in the long run.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Pros: Good value, Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight

I've just worn these for the first time, having been carrying them around in my backpack for a few weeks. They're so light you won't notice you're carrying or wearing them.

Perfect protection form the rain, I got off the bike bone dry and it was properly tipping down.

They feel like a product I'll be using for years, and I'm glad I bought them

I bought these for winter use but got caught in a summer deluge so chritsened them early. Easy to put on they provide absolute protection against the elements. My legs were as dry as a bone.

Top trousers - but come up small

Got these to replace my Altura night vision waterproof trousers, which turned out to not be completely waterproof (some issues around seams), and also weren't so breathable. The Gore trousers are definitely waterproof (although even these ones do still let in a tiny amount of water around the seams at the knee after around an hour in heavy rain - but I guess it's a tradeoff for the breathability which is very good).

They do come up small though. I had the Altura Medium (quite loose on me), so went for Gore small but these were really too small, so I now have the Gore medium, which are fine but still snugger than the Altura. If I had the money I'd probably go for the other Gore trousers with the 'Active shell' technology, but they're twice the price, so maybe not just yet!
