Great bag let down by annoying glitch

No, I do not recommend this product.

Pros: Good quality, Lightweight

Cons: too noisy for use without a botch

Like most Ortlieb bags the quality and waterproofing are superb. But I would not buy this bag again. There are two press stud type fixings that are for attaching the map or sat nav cases. Without a case attached the bags makes the most horrendous road noise. It sounds like a bag of old fashioned marbles being shaken next to you ear.

Perfect bag, but not perfect mounting

Yes, I recommend this product.

Just used on a 10 day trip with lots of rain. Everything stayed perfectly dry. However had to adjust the mounting a bit and remove the mount for the flights over and back, and the cables got pretty shredded making for more difficult mounting in the future. Bought the extender mount and bag fit perfect with on one mary bars.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought this recently to replace the previous model, which I used heavily for six years.
The strap attachment is poorly designed and gets in the way, but you get used to it. I like the pockets as the strap will stuff into one while riding, without having to be removed. There should be a better designed handlebar bag, but I haven't seen one.

Great quality, slightly annoying in use

Yes, I recommend this product.

Pros: Lightweight, Good quality

Cons: lid location can be fiddly

Nicely made welded seam construction looks like it will last for years. Inner zip pocket. Map location fixings on lid, map case available from Ortlieb as an extra. Nice simple design uses two metal poppers to secure the lid to the lower bag: However, I find these annoying to locate and snap in, especially with cold fingers. Also the lid must be lowered over the lip of the bag and can get caught under it and folded up occasionally as it is a close fit. The strap is also irritating as it interferes with the lid fitment, so I leave mine off. It loses one star in this review for these minor niggles, but it will last and last: those poppers will see out any zip or velcro!

I was a little dubious about the klickfix mounting but it does hold the bag steady on the bike - extenders are available if you need more forward clearance.

Overall a good product, but not as well though out as the pannier range.
