The Arkose rolls fast over tarmac, towpaths, woodland trails and country bridleways. It takes influence from Cyclo-Cross race bikes without compromising its intended use as an efficient high-mileage, all-round, cross-terrain machine. Using a tapered-steerer all-carbon fork and a taper-oval top tube for accurate handling and reduced impact shocks makes this a comfortable ride at speed. The geometry is relaxed enough for high-speed off-road use in wet conditions as well as retaining a neutral feel on tarmac. A chainstay disc mount with maximum heel clearance matches well with narrow Q-factor road chainset and ensures simple fitting of mudguards or racks.

This bike is just fantastic I recently purchased this bike, and so far it has just surpassed my expectations. February 17, 2013

A robust all rounder This is was my first foray into a road style bike. So far I'm pretty pleased with the results. Gear system is very smooth - occasional "clunk" but that's probably down to my hashy bashy approach than the setup ! Ride is quite stiff, so you do feel quite a bit of the road or surface you are riding on, but it pretty lightweight & I've increased my avg speed by at least 3-5mph. Brakes are pretty good to - something I was concerned about. Occasional squeaky but nothing serious. Looking forward to the better weather & taking it for a long ride !!! February 2, 2013

Good catch-all bike Purchased this bike for the new commute following a change of job- perfect for cycling through town on some poor road conditions. Feels solid, extremely comfortable and spot-on for the daily ride to and from work. Wouldn't necessarily recommend for longer out of town rides but would certainly do the job without too much of an issue if push came to shove. Excellent bike and good value; would definitely recommend as a good starter bike. January 30, 2013

The Perfect Commuter Bike I bought this bike for commuting 20 miles per day, over flat paths between trees. And I got right! The Pinnacle Arkose One isn't so weightlight, it isn't for competitions, but it's only 22'8 pounds. It's sooooo confortable specially because the frame isn't so racing and you can use the secondary brake levers when you need it. If your aren't going to ride over mud, the mini V-Brakes are enough. For a product with this specifications, I think it's a very good price. If I use it for commuting and I don't use my car, I'm going to depreciate the bike purchase in six months. January 29, 2013
