Yes, I recommend this product.

Pros: Good value, Lightweight, Looks great

Cons: Uncomfortable, noisey

I am a beginner in cycling terms and this is my first bike since I was a wee nipper. I chose a hybrid because of her versitility and speed and use her to commute to and from work so about 10m a day. She is a rather stiff ride with the roads not of the best quality around my area, but the speed more than makes up for it as she really flies down hills and on the straights. The gears have taken me a while to get used to as they are on a rotator rather than a clicker as I used as a lad. When changing gear she makes a lot of noise and in certain gears it sounds like she isn't happy, but rides fine.

I have enjoyed riding her and at the price I bought her for under £500 to get hydrolic breaks is a real bonus and means stopping is rapid as well. Finally she is light and looks brilliant I just wish the seat was as impressive as I have found her rather uncomfortable, but I am told this is normal!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Pros: Looks great, sharp handling

Cons: Uncomfortable, delicate hub

After lots of looking around on the net, comparing Giant, Specialized, Mongoose, Trek, Cannondale amongst others, I finally decided on this MS 3.0, based on specs and looks (it does look very nice), as a daily commuter.
Good things: it handles like a razor. Because of its geometry and semi-pro brakes, as an Urban Assault Vehicle, you'll be able to outcycle most anyone. The internal hub is good in this sort of conditions, since it shifts quite a bit faster than your traditional derailleur.
This all means that if you're not going at full-speed all the time, it's quite uncomfortable. The hub needs concentrated shifting all the time and because there's no audible feedback, you're never 100% sure if it has done everything you asked it to do, which has resulted on a couple of occasions, when taking off at a traffic light, in some nice clunks, the hub shifting down under pressure. Also, it doesn't perform too well under full load. When trying to take small hill standing on the pedals, the pressure seemed too much for the hub to handle, resulting in the same afore-mentioned clunkiness, very unpleasant when going uphill at full speed.
The brakes are very good when used at 100% as well. When not, they're quite difficult for gentle braking. Also, after only a couple of months, they have started squeaking, both in the rain and when not under full load, often announcing my arrival to anyone in a 30m radius. Also, when braking heavily, especially the front wheel seems to be twisting to one side. Now I may be a 16 st. man, but this shouldn't happen on a 750 pound bike.
Conclusion: If you're a100% City Racer, the MS 3.0 is a good option, if you want to forgive it's little quirks, but if you're not, there's better options out there.
