A Shimano Octalink splined crank add stiffness and reliability to the drive-train and lighter, tougher Alex DF-23 rims built onto Shimano 2200 hubs can handle daily mileage as well as light towpath use.
The Neon is a fast as well as efficient and comfortable ride, a bike that’s at home anywhere between the city streets and country lanes. Using a lightweight butted Aluminium frame and fork and 700c wheels with fast hybrid components, it’s one of the fastest ways to work during the week as well as fitness at the weekends. It’s capable of light gravel-track use as well as tarmac miles with 28C tyres, plus with mini-v brakes and plenty of clearance you’ll have no problems mounting a rack or mudguards.
