The Powerbar Gel is a fast acting energy gel to increase endurance for top level performance. During strenuous exercise your body burns carbohydrate rapidly so to maintain energy levels and stay strong to the finish you need to take on extra fuel. Powerbar gels use a new C2 Max formula been shown to improve endurance performance by an average of 8% compared to glucose alone. I love Powerbar gels. Recent favourite is the tropical flavour, but all are ok. I have raced may events and always used Powerbar Gels. Easy to take in, small and compact and actually taste nice !!! Relatively xpensive, but worth every penny.....

Pros: Lightweight, Good quality

Strawberry and Banana taste great ... Not too heavy on the stomach and really do give an energy boost. Fairly small and easy to carry while running.

Best one i've tried so far!

Pros: Good quality, good taste, easy to handle, small size

Cons: Expensive

I've tried loads of Gels, some are more "fluid" and some have more volume, however these are my favorites. Gels are very subjective, but I want something that's easy to take on whilst I'm riding and doesn't taste like medicine! Again, very subjective, but these taste OK, and they are easy to manage one handed. Just remember that even Gels take a while to get into your system. The only let down is the price, if they were .50p a shot they would have had 5*'s.
