Poor quality While this cycle rides well enough, and is firm and light - the paint work is absolutely poor - it chips of with the lightest scrap/bump. Simply putting a D-lock on removes the paint. You could just about scrap the paint off with your finger nail. My brother has the Scott Sub 30 from 2007 and the quality back then was much better - the paint work is matte and he doesn't have any scraps in the paint work at all. Also the cross bar on the cycle is straighter and gives the bicycle a more mature look as well as being more practical. This 2013 version - almost impossible to attach a d-lock to the frame and forget about adding a bottle holder and a d-lock - There's no space in the geometry of the frame. I'm guessing with the economic crisis and increased costs in importing to the UK - Scott have had to cut quality to maintain their profits and price point. If I could get a 2007 Scott, I'd much prefer it. March 8, 2013
