Effective energy source

Pros: Good quality, Lightweight

I wanted an easily digestible gel to help me attempt the 100 mile South Downs Way mountain bike ride I was training for this summer. I used the Smart-1 gels initially on 3-5 hour rides and immediately became a convert...they really do give you a boost when you feel the legs are beginning to get heavy. The SDW ride took me 13 hours (well there is 10, 000 feet of climbing!) and I used about 3 Smart-1s, combined with other food sources....no problems whatsoever with bonking. I can readily recommend them
