The SKS Mudguards – Wide Road are the Rolls-Royce of mudguards; they are virtually unbreakable and are very elegant. Their beauty is not just skin-deep. The stainless steel v-shaped stays make for easy fitting and the quick release Secu-clips are far safer than standard fixings, preventing front wheel lock up in case of a foreign object getting trapped between guard and wheel. The mudguards have no sharp edges and are amazingly flexible. The production process involves the encapsulation of fine aluminium foil within a matrix of high performance plastic. This process provides high resistance to corrosion and resulting in a high degree of flexibility.

Captain Scarlet could use them A carelessly attached pannier swung in to my rear wheel and was carried around for about a quarter of a turn by the spokes. It also caught the mudguard stays and jammed up the mudguard so that it was bent completely back upon itself twice like a concertina. I was sure the mudguard was ruined but I pulled it back and it sprang back into shape perfectly. Frankly amazing. They seemed rather expensive when I bought them but every other mudguard I have ever had would have been destroyed by this accident (or even a far less severe one). For longevity it's worth it. Excellent quality and value Having grown tired of wet and muck upon me and my bike I elected to get full mudguards fitted. Evans recommended these and fitted them for free same day.
