Wasted my money on conbtact lenses!

Cons: not unattractive but a little more flair from the, very grey small orange bit!

This mudguard rocks!
To think I had purchased contact lenses as I had grown tired of dirty specs. If I had bought one of these mudguards straight away I could have saved myself £100.00 at specsavers.
Joking apart excellent mudguard, effective release mechanism but boring colour.
Buy one you won't be disappointed

I bought the shock blade to replace another manufacturer's similar product whose fastening mechanism was not up to the job. No such trouble with this one. The snap-on mounting is solid and secure so the blade does not rattle around but can quickly be taken off for transporting. My bike is a Commencal with rear cables running down the underside of the frame so frame-attaching mudguards are unsuitable. The Shock Blade is ideal as the connector fits into the bottom of the fork tube. It comes with several sizes of connector to ensure a tight fit and is easily tightened on with an allen key.

SKS Shock Blade MTN Mudguard Front Guard

The quick release mechanism for this mud guard is pretty impressive, easy to get off when you want to remove it but locked firmly in place otherwise. The part of the mechanism which stays on the bike mean that even if you forget to attach the mud guard, it still stops some mud getting into the tube at the top of the front fork. The advantage of this over mud guards which attach to the frame is that it turns with the wheel so does a pretty good job of stopping mud regardless of the direction you’re going in. I’d recommend checking the quick release attachment periodically to make sure it’s still tight as mine occasionally comes loose. Several different sizes of quick release attachment are included to fit different sizes of front fork.
