Pros: Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great

This is my first venture into the higher end of the shoe market, the first thing I noticed about these shoes is how incredibly light they are!!! They also look fantastic in white and with a pair of light socks the EU size 42 fitted my UK size 8 feet perfectly.

I was initially a little concerned how thin the tongue was and thought it might be uncomfortable with the straps across the top of my foot, along with worries about how durable the bottom two straps would be. Both my concerns were unfounded as the tongue is fine and the straps are well made, they don’t feel like they will snap anytime soon, unlike other cheaper shoes I’ve had before.

The ‘x-link’ top strap is genius, allowing the shoe to be loosened and tightened as secure as you like, even when you’re on the move, which is great for before and after sprint or climbing sections.

As with proper road shoes there is very little in the way of grip to keep you upright if your not on the bike (tread carefully,) but the black and red carbon sole is very light, stiff and gives little flex even when you put the power down. The uppers are soft and give plenty of ventilation stopping you’re feet getting too warm.

I suppose these shoes are expensive due to the lightweight materials used to make them and the science behind the BG (‘Body Geometry.’) I have always suffered with sore knees in the latter stages of Sportives and have always blamed this on my ageing joints, however having done a 60 miles the other week wearing these shoes I was pain free.

I was previously using Shimano SPD pedals with the small 2 bolt Shimano cleats. These shoes come with larger 3 bolt cleat that fits Shimano SPL-SL’s, Keo and Look type pedals, giving a far better contact on the pedal. I estimate you’ll knock at least 10% of your times with this type of cleat and shoe.

They say you should always buy a good bed and good shoes, because if you’re not in one you’re in the other (Even if you’re on your bike.)

If it’s quality your after buy these shoes!!

This is the second time i have bought a pair of these shoes, which in it's self speaks volumes. I have cycled for over twenty years now and these are the most comfortable pair of cycling shoes i have ever owned.
My first pair are still going strong they've kept their shape even through the worst of weather conditions.
The buckle is the only thing i've had to replace not bad really as these shoes have been worn continuously for the past two years.
The carbon sole is stiff but not to stiff as to start hurting your feet even in the Majorcan heat.
The amount of adjustment on the buckle and the strap itself means there was always plenty of options to be able to find the perfect fit.

I'm really pleased with this shoe so far. It's comfy and fits perfectly. The sizing is consistent whereas I've found other makes to be tight (not that I have wide feet). The shoe looks great and all the straps / closures seem very good. I have previously used DHB (not great) and a Shimano carbon soled shoe but this is definitely better. It's stiff but comfy at the same time. Other shoes can give me pins and needles on a longer ride but this seems to be the best I've worn for this problem. The price was good value in the sale and Evans delivered in less than 48 hours. Great service and will buy from this website again.
