Frame:: Specialized A1 Premium Aluminium fully manipulated frame. Low centre of gravity and a low standover height with an integrated headset and forged 3D horizontal dropouts. Disc only.
Fork:: Specialized A1 Premium Aluminium steerer and lowers.
Chainset:: Specialized single speed design.
Chainrings:: 42 tooth with alloy guard.
Bottom Bracket:: Shimano BB-UN-25 cartridge bearing. 68x113mm.
Chain:: KMC single speed.

Bought this bike in 2008 for commuting/pottering and because it was so cheap! I have used it fairly often for 5-10 mile commutes and some longer (and hilly) rides and it has always been very comfortable with the single gear fine for most occasions, although I may get around to changing the saddle one day as it is not the best - not really complaining at this price though!
I love the look of this bike - the smooth satin paint finish, unusual flowing frame lines and the purposeful simplicity, particularly with everything finished in black. Although I have so far only used it for dry weather commuting and popping out to the shops/pub it actually has the best complement of mudguard and pannier rack eyelets of any of my bikes - even better than my dedicated tourer, which is odd given that it was marketed as an urban street bike, but welcome all the same. Given its robust frame, low maintenance mechanical disc brakes (which have been excellent - much better than I expected) and all the eyelets, I am very tempted to add one of the new Shimano or Sram hub gear systems and a full set of guards and racks and actually use it as a serious tourer!
Maybe because it doesn't really "fit" into a specific category of bike Specialized/Globe seem to have dropped it from this years range. I think this is a shame (for other people anyway!) because it is a smart and comfortable bike that I think represents great value for money.
