Exactly what a Hybrid should be !

Pros: Good value, Good quality, good performance

Looking for a replacement for my Trek 7200 i came across the Crosstrail range, i had initially looked at Ridgeback Flights and Boardman Hybrids due to their strong reviews.

After considering what i wanted against what actually may be more practical i took advantage of a good offer and went for the Crosstrail after a test cycle.

After cycling with it for over a month now in a whole range of condtions in Glasgow i can say i am very happy with it.

On the road it has the speed you want and its gears enable smooth acceleration, coupled with the Hydraulic brakes i felt very safe in rain and sleet.

On the canal paths/trails it was also a pleasure to ride and the 700x45 tires adapted to snow and rough terrain very well.

It is a bit heavier than the more sporty hybrids but as i said i knew i wanted a bike that could handle a bit more than just the road on the way to work.

Pros: Good value, Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great

I bought this bike on the ride to work scheme and got it for a very good value price. This bike is impressive, and with 27 gears is extremely fast, very stable, the gear change is seemless and a joy and the brakes are stunning, infact, I dont think i dare pull them fully on as i'll be over the handlebars in any weather conditions (Thanks to the hydralic disc brakes). I would highly recommend this bike and if theres a downside its that once mudflaps and lights are installed there isnt much room for much else!

A decent bike

Yes, I recommend this product.

Pros: Lightweight, Looks great, fast

Cons: not as robust as i'd expected

I bought this bike on the Ride2Work scheme (thanks Mr Taxman). I already own a Trek 7300 hybrid which I like and went for the Crosstrail Expert because it has hydraulic brakes and front shocks (my 2009 Trek has shocks but standard brakes). The Crosstrail is considerably more expensive but it feels lighter, rides a bit faster and I do like the brakes. I changed the tyres to Schwalbe anti-puncture when I bought the bike (previous experience told me the tyres you get with the bike will certainly puncture even if you don't go off-road). I've had the bike for about a month now and I like it. However, it doesn't feel as solid as the Trek and I do feel the bumps a bit more on the Crosstrail on the lousy roads of Hertfordshire. I would recommend this bike, but I'm not yet sure it's worth the extra money compared to the Trek 7300.

Pros: Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great

I got this bike for riding around London and have found that it does the job quite well. I am glad that I went for a bike with the front shocks as my wife's bike (without the shocks) takes quite a pounding around the London's cobbled streets.

After six months of average usage, I've found the most I've had to do to it is to replace the tires as the ones it comes with are no match to the rubbish on London's streets.
