Astonishing value, with decent spec for the money.
Agree that the pedals could be better but really that's being pedantic.

Good value, nice bike

Pros: Good quality, Looks great

This is my first mountain bike I've brought and through Evans Cycles on the web, arrived on time, assembly was easy. But when I tried it the change gears would not work correctly and the tires were almost flat, bikes are suppose to be checked before delivery? umm....? not sure about that, anyway phoned Evans took bike in and they repaired it straight away, fitting a new chainset (old one was bent!) so top marks for that. Got bike home; gear change works but not perfect would still miss gears, I've adjusted it and now works ace, occasionally I miss a gear which I put down to my inexperience. Overall after a few teething problems I love the bike and would recommend it, looks great and good quality, not the the most comfy seat*%^? but they never are, all in all very happy with the bike and Evans.

Excellent Bike for Good Value

After riding a basic bike which I bought a couple of years ago from Halfords I decided to upgrade and buy a new bike using my works ride2work scheme from Evans Cycles.

Initially I thought that all the decent bikes you can buy from Evans Cycles would be way out of my price bracket but after looking online I found this Specialized Hardrock Disc Mountain Bike with front suspension and front and rear disc brakes for only £350!

I immediately went down to my local Evans Cycles in Castleford where I placed my order. The bike is absolutely fantastic and it must weigh about half of what my old bike did which makes uphill cycling so much easier. I know that there are lighter bikes than this but these cost way more. I got the black version which when locked up in my work place next to all the other bikes (some cost way more) it certainly doesn’t look out of place.
