The Tacx Satori Home Trainer is the power trainer of choice for the Pro Tour Teams. The Satori stands rock steady on the ground and uses extremely powerful Neodymium magnets to produce a massive amount of brake force, brake force that is high enough to make a low cadence/high powered trainer a reality. A huge steel flywheel adds that vital inertia to the trainer giving it a road like feel, making it a favourite among top pro riders. 10 Resistance levels and compatible with oversized bars. Soft Gel rolling cylinder with stainless steel running surface for sound-deadening and wear-resistance. Innovative quick release lever for once-only adjustment.

Pros: Good value, Good quality, Comfortable, Lightweight, Looks great

I found the item difficult to put together and the instructions were not clear, however I am fortunate enough to live close to an Evans store and the guys there put it all together for me and explained so key things to ensure the longevity of the product and my bike.

I have really enjoyed using it when the weather outside is poor.

excellent quality but very little used

Bought one of these a few months ago to see me through that really cold spell when I couldn't get out on the roads for snow and ice. I was impressed buy the build and finish quality, and the ease of home assembly (all you need do is put in whichever wheel type adjuster you prefer, then you're up and away). It's lovely to use as well, giving close to authentic road experience, once you've mastered the somewhat slow acceleration and a degree of tyre slippage of the resistance wheel if you go over that. Once up to speed it's easy to maintain pace - perhaps too easy as it doesn't have the random stop/starts of a road course. Makes little noise beyond the mechanical rumble of a rotating flywheel.
Downside? Yep, I feel a proper Charlie sitting on my road bike in my living room. Not to mention the mental monotony of staring at walls or a TV. I've used this three times, and couldn't manage more than 15 minutes each time before my brain rebelled and I had to stop. While the physical experiece is similar to real cycling, the mental experience is a killer, at least for me. We have widely good cycling weather year round in this country and those few cold or wet spells when you can't get out might be better spent persuing an alternative exercise regime, such as weights or swimming. I have since spent nearly an equal amount on gym membership and go almost every day for at least 2 hours - so for me, this is a no-no. But great if you have the mental wherewithall for total boredom.

Cons: Poor quality, gear leaver is very poor quality

Ive been using the trainer for around 4 months was really happy with the product till geat leaver packed in. Plastic cogs have stripped inside casing which have stopped the numbers which display what gear you are in working .Apart from that it wouid be a very good trainer
