With only two speeds, automatic shifting, and ultra-clean lines, we think they’re getting pretty close with the Tern Verge Duo 2012 Folding Bike.

Tern Verge Duo 2012 Folding Bike 5 5 2 2

Great commuter bike I'm loving this bike - perfect for getting around the city. The automatic gears work very well and makes for a speedy start away from the lights. The hub brake takes a bit of getting used to but works fine. I used to have a Brompton (until it was stolen...) - overall I like this bike much better. The fold is not as compact or secure but it feels like an easier, faster ride and is still small enough for my crowded commuter train journey. May 23, 2012

This bike is truly impressive! I have just recently purchased my Tern Verge Duo from Evans Cycles and I must say how delighted I am with the bike thus far. The bike rides as good as it looks, feels solid and built to last. The automatic gearing changes smoothly and effortlessly, tackling small hills with ease and also has the ability to pick up speed on flat roads or down hills. The hinges on this bike makes the bike's riding experience firm and stable. Due to the well crafted hinges Tern have designed, folding/unfolding the bike is done with ease. Overall this bike is a great bike in terms of looks and to ride and I would highly recommend purchasing the Tern Verge Duo! March 26, 2012
