Saturday January 9th: Off-road ride

Scenic views on an off road rideRoute description: Junction 12 of the M4 might not seem like an obvious area to go cycling but you’ll be surprised! There are plenty of bridleways in the vicinity and the routes venture onto the Ridgeway, one of the oldest roads in England.
The area is a little bit hilly, but the tracks are good and this is going to be a great work out!

Route options available at this venue:

Short - 14 miles
Medium - 24 miles
Long - 31 miles
Night Ride - 15 miles

Night Ride - off-road ride evening stage

With nights closing in we thought a night ride might be a fun thing to do!! The route will basically be the Short route at about 12-15 miles and start times will be from 3pm until 4pm. (Sun sets at 4.20pm so you’ll need lights from about 3:50 in the woods!!) Reflective arrows will be in place to guide you and there will be a range of the award winning Exposure lights for hire at the event centre click here to view and book our demo lights.  Enter both a standard day time ride and the night ride and buy a £15 combined entry fee.  Please note: Front and rear lights are compulsory for all entrants and you will be refused a ride if you do not have them.

Sunday January 10th: Sportive road ride

Breath taking scenery awaits sportive road ridersRoute description: We’re a bit spoiled for choice from Chieveley! To the east is the River Thames and plenty of villages on the river to visit. To the north we have the Ridgeway, with some stunning views, a few climbs and descents. And the south provides us with Walbury Hill with all the beautiful countryside in between. Luckily we don’t have to choose as the routes will take in all of the above!

Route options available at this venue:

Fun – 12 miles
Short – 27 miles
Medium – 41 miles
Long – 57 miles

IMPORTANT NOTE: Route options and lengths are subject to change. Final routes will differ to the provisional routes due to road closures, trail & road conditions and weather conditions. Provisional routes are not suitable for navigation purposes, map of confirmed route will be provided to all riders on the day.
