Active shell is the latest laminate from GORE-TEX®. This new waterproof, breathable and windproof material offers the highest level of breathability found in any GORE-TEX® fabric to date. The new fabric has been designed for the fast and light user with final garments having a maximum weight limit of just 300 grams. To ensure that the fabric is able to perform at its ultimate level of breathability, manufacturers are being asked to design jackets in GORE-TEX® Active Shell with only the minimum amount of features. Active Shell also feels great next to the skin so can be worn with a short-sleeve jersey on milder days in the saddle.

Try Gore’s bestselling jacket, the Phantom at RideIt! events. Made of WINDSTOPPER® soft shell fabric it is fully windproof, highly breathable and keeps you dry during showers. Remove the arms and you will find a short-sleeve built in allowing you to wear the jacket during warmer rides.
