Saturday September 4th: Off-road ride
Route description: The Lake District is one of the most beautifull areas of England and we are in the heart of it. The event centre is based in Coniston, just to the west of the Lake and below The Old Man. The routes are in the area between the lakes of Windermere and Coniston, with great views over the surrounding countrydise. Ground conditions are generally good throughout the year so the mixture of singletrack and fireroads remain rideable in all weather. Saying that, there are a few hills in the area!! This might mean some pushing for a few short sections, but generally, if you have the lungs and legs, it’s all 100% rideable.
Route options available at this venue:
Short - 15 miles
Medium - 25 miles
Long - 30 miles
Sunday September 5th: Sportive road ride
Route description: Laying in one of the valleys in the centre of the Lakes means that wherever we go, it’s going to be stunning, and hilly! Depending on the weather we’ll try and include the climbs of Hardnott pass and Wyrnose pass for the longer routes, whilst keeping the shorter ones to the shores of Windermere and Coniston.
Route options available at this venue:
Fun – 12 miles
Short – 30 miles
Medium – 60 miles
Long – 90 miles
IMPORTANT NOTE: Route options and lengths are subject to change. Final routes will differ to the provisional routes due to road closures, trail & road conditions and weather conditions. Provisional routes are not suitable for navigation purposes, map of confirmed route will be provided to all riders on the day.
