The Red Passion AFS 29'' Wheelset from Fulcrum is designed for lightness and power transfer without compromise. This wheelset is a complete project in which every component, material, dimension and stiffness have been designed and finished to create a race-ready wheel set. This attention to detail makes all the difference especially when you need to trust your wheels in decisive moments during racing. This wheelset is the 29'' AFS brake model, it is also available in 27.5'' and with the 6-bolt brake option. The AFS brake system gives better structural rigidity to the brake, in turn giving more precise and powerful braking than other brake systems.
The wheel consists of an ultra-low aluminium rim which has a milled profile to keep the lowest peripheral weight possible, which in turn makes these wheels extremely responsive, ideal for XC or marathon cycling. The rim also features a shape designed to be extremely impact resistant and improve tensions which balances the forces coming through the wheel from the brakes and cassette. The rim is also specially contoured with a reinforced profile to make going tubeless ready easier. This wheel is ready for the change to tubeless cycling to ensure that you get better handling and better protection against punctures. The hub is carbon with aluminium flanges to enhance performance and features a new system that allows the switch from one standard to another, through axle or XD, simply by changing adapters. These wheels are easily adapted and fitted to all frame standards so you can be ready for your next ride.
