We’re proud supporters of the HSBC UK Go-Ride Programme
In 2015 we partnered with British Cycling’s Go-Ride programme, which provides fun, local coaching sessions for young riders and aims to develop the next generation of talented cyclists.
Creating an environment for kids to enjoy the freedom of cycling and develop lifelong skills is hugely important. We support British Cycling’s work in this area by providing their HSBC UK Go-Ride Coaches with a fleet of high quality and lightweight HOY bikes, meaning that thousands of young people have been able to improve their cycling confidence in a safe and fun way – without having to own a bike.
Our bikes are used in schools, communities, clubs and at big sporting events like the Tour of Britain, where thousands of kids have been able to have a go and improve their bike handling. We’re proud to be part of this important national initiative and help to inspire champions of the future.
There are over 350 Go-Ride Clubs around the country created just for riders under 18 and run by friendly volunteers with a love for the sport. Clubs run regular, local and affordable activities across the six disciplines of cycling and have produced some of the biggest names in the sport. For example, Olympic and world champions Laura Kenny and Jason Kenny both started at Go-Ride Clubs!
