The original Brompton folding bike — now available with a 4-speed option. With a robust steel frame, proudly handmade in London. The C Line remains one of Brompton’s most accessible and versatile models.

C Line is the original steel folding bike built for urban life. Proudly handmade in London since 1975, it transforms in under 20 seconds from a rideable bike to a compact, locked package. Easy to lift, carry or store. You can take it on trains, fit it in car boots or tuck it under restaurant tables. Add luggage, mount a rack, or store a small toolkit inside the frame.

The latest development is the C Line 4-Speed, offering more gearing flexibility than the 2-speed variant while retaining portability and foldability. It uses a derailleur-based system with inline sprockets and leverages Brompton’s classic design for compactness and ease of use in urban settings.

Extended Warranty

Brompton offers a 7-year frame warranty and a 2-year warranty on all other non-wearing parts. Registration via the Brompton website with your frame number is required.
