RIDE IT Ashdown Sportive 2018

We’re returning to the National Trust’s Sheffield Park Gardens near Uckfield in East Sussex for our RIDE IT Ashdown Sportive on Saturday 8th September 2018. Not being far from the Evans Cycles HQ means it’s on home riding turf for a lot of the Evans Cycles staff so we’ve used our local knowledge to come up with a great route that takes in some well known climbs as well as some of the less well known lanes that the area has to offer.…

RIDE IT Peak District 2018

We're up in the Peaks getting ready to set out the courses for this weekends event. As we haven't been out yet I can't give you any trail conditions but there's been little rain and the drains pretty well so hopefully it'll all be dry under wheel at the weekend! As always, it's going to be a tough ride no matter which day you are signed up for but you are going to be treated to some great scenery to distract you from the pain. There's a reason this ride is 5/5 on the difficult rating.…

RIDE IT Liphook 2018

This ride is a firm favourite with staff and customers alike, and it's easy to see why; quick single track and well maintained trails dictate a good pace and the chance to clock up some exhilarating off-road miles in the Great British Summer. The route will take riders through heather lined trails and stunning woodland sections as we take a circular route around Hindhead. This ride has everything you could want: great trails, tough climbs, fast descents and beautiful scenery, and it’s why many of our riders come back year after year.…

After refuelling at the YHA we’re back onto the South Downs Way heading back towards event HQ. As the event centre nears, Long and Endurance riders continue past towards Lewes. More ups and downs follow as we navigate the trails around Balmer Down and Woodingdean. Those taking on the Endurance distance branch off at the 35 mile mark to enjoy a long descent to the coast. A challenging ascent awaits both Long and Endurance riders, before a deserved descent to the finish.…

Earning some cycling brownie points
