Introducing the SeaSucker Hornet 1-Bike Handlebar Mount Rack. The Sea Sucker racks use a strong vacuum pad which sucks to and holds against the roof or boot of your car and can withstand strong resistance such as wind and gravitational forces. This strong mount is for 1 bike however that doesn't mean that it takes up the entire back or roof of your car. The Vacuumed suckers are small in size and make for easy storage when you aren't using them. No wonder why they are called the ''Smallest Bike Rack In the World. The Hornet was a first for Sea Sucker as well, this is due to the fact that it is their first ''leave-the-front-wheel-on'' bike rack. designed to mount to the back window of any hatchback, SUV or Minivan using two of Sea Suckers powerful 4.5'' vacuum cups. Each vacuum Cup has 120lbs rated pulling strength, and when you consider that most bikes now days will weigh less than 35 lbs it can happily keep your bike secure. Once you have placed the sucker pads to your car, your bike is then secured to the pads via Plastic ladder straps, which securely hold both road and mtb bars to the vacuum cups and make attaching and removing the bike a breeze.
The Vacuumed sucker pads are pump actioned which makes for a quick and easy installation and removal and this is what makes the Seasucker Racks so quick and efficient. Simply place the sucker on the rear window of your car, pump the vacuum cups until they are firmly attached to the glass, Secure your handlebars to both mounts with the strong ladder and you are done. To remove your bike from the rack takes the same a mount of time to put up, Unclip ladder straps remove bike from mounts and then release the vacuum within the mount and remove from windshield. The Hornet also comes with a safety strap that loops around the bike's steer tube and into a sewn in cam buckle. The strap's tail has a built in plastic peg that, when closed in the hatchback, secures the strap to the car. Overall this is a great mount to have, saving space and plenty of time and hassle.
